LU-VE GROUP IN SUPPORT OF EDUCATION: TABLETS GIFTED FOR DIGITAL SCHOOLING

The "Chiara and Ermanno Liberali" Scholarship awards 100 tablets to employees' children, in support of online teaching.

Uboldo, 27 May 2020 – Looking once more to the future and to young people going through school. This is the starting point for the new project in support of student education launched by LU-VE Group, a company listed on the MTA, the Italian Stock Exchange’s Main Market, and the third largest operator in the world in the air heat exchanger sector.

Computer technology has become the only possible way to continue studying and avoid the risk of educational isolation. For this reason, LU-VE Group has donated a hundred tablets to the children of the Group's employees, in support of the new forms of educational activities that involve remote lessons, following the COVID-19 outbreak.

Through a call for applications from the "Chiara and Ermanno Liberali" Scholarship, the company has assigned tablets intended for elementary, middle, and high school students. The award criteria were based on household income, tax burdens and number of children.

Attention to the world of school is in the tradition of the LU-VE Group, which annually assigns the "Chiara and Ermanno Liberali" Scholarship to deserving children of its collaborators. The initiative is active in the company’s facilities in Uboldo (Varese, Italy), Travacò Siccomario (Pavia, Italy), Limana (Belluno, Italy) and Novosedly (Czech Rep.). Starting from this year, it will also include the Alonte plant (acquired in 2019) and will gradually be extended to all the other companies of the Group outside Italy.

Iginio Liberali, President of LU-VE Group, commented: “LU-VE has done and is doing everything possible to protect the health and safety of all its employees, especially at this particular moment. But looking to the future, we must think of our young people and their education. I know the value of scholarships well: I myself was able to continue my school career, from middle school to university graduation, thanks to scholarships from the Necchi company in Pavia, where my father was a worker. One of the first choices I made when I founded LU-VE was to create the 'Chiara and Ermanno Liberali' Scholarship, named after my parents. The idea of ​​assigning tablets grew out of talking to some of our employees in the factory, who were struggling to get their kids to study, due to the lack of adequate IT tools for online lessons. LU-VE is based on the principle that companies are women, men and ideas. Since I believe that the paramount value of education cannot be allowed to fail, even in periods like this, we thought it was right to guarantee it to the young people who will be the women and men of tomorrow New ideas will flourish from their education and imagination.”
