Stefano Paleari (LU-VE Group Board Member) appointed member of the Pontifical Council for Culture

On 11 November 2019, Pope Francis appointed Prof. Stefano Paleari (member of the Board of Directors of LU-VE Group) as "Consultant of the Pontifical Council of Culture", along with other personalities of culture and academia.

The Pontifical Council aims to "promote relations between the Holy See and the world of culture, in particular by promoting dialogue with different cultures".

Professor Paleari has been an independent member of the LU-VE Group Board since 2015. He teaches "Financial Systems Analysis" at the University of Bergamo, a university of which he was Rector from October 2009 to September 2015.

Since May 2017 he has been Special Commissioner of Alitalia. He had previously been the chairman of the Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities and chairman of the Human Technopole Coordination Committee.
