LU-VE continues its expansion abroad, targeting Georgia and Azerbaijan

refrigerazione commerciale e industrialeThe multinational company based in Lombardy in Italy took part in the trade delegation following the visit of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, to the two countries, from 16 to 19 July.

The objective of the mission, organized by Confindustria and the Italian Trade Agency, is to encourage the participation of Italian companies in the programmes of investment established for the coming years, in particular in the sectors of agriculture, oil & gas and logistics.


Uboldo, 20 July 2018 – as part of its international development plan in strategic areas, LU-VE, the Italian multinational based in the province of Varese and leader in the production of heat exchangers, continues its project of expansion along the “Silk Road”, in particular in Georgia and Azerbaijan, central hubs on the trade route between Asia and Europe and markets themselves with strong potential for growth in the sectors of agriculture, oil & gas and logistics.

The company took part in a delegation of 45 firms, banks and agencies supporting internationalization visiting Tblisis and Baku, coinciding with the official visit to Georgia and Azerbaijan of Sergio Mattarella, the President of the Italian Republic.

Participation in this trade mission organized by Confindustria and the Italian Trade Agency has important strategic significance for LU-VE Group. The economy of both Azerbaijan and Georgia offers good development opportunities for the markets connected with the cold chain in the agriculture industry and for the cooling of equipment used in power generation in the oil&gas industry.
During the mission, LU-VE had the opportunity to meet the Deputy Ministers of Agriculture and Economic Development of Georgia, Deputy Ministers of the Economy, Energy and Agriculture of Azerbaijan, and also numerous local entrepreneurs.

The Italian Delegation was led by the Under-Secretary of State at the Ministry of Economic Development, Michele Geraci, with the participation of the Vice-President for Internationalization at Confindustria, Licia Mattioli, the President and Director General of the Italian Trade Agency, Michele Scannavini and Piergiorgio Borgogelli, and the CEO of SACE (the Italian export credit agency), Alessandro Decio. The President of the Italian Republic was also accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Enzo Moavero Milanesi. The main participating industrial Groups included: Anas, Ansaldo Energia, Cnh Industrial, Baker Hughes (a GE Company), Leonardo, Danieli Officine Meccaniche, Ferrero, FS Italiane, MaireTecnimont, Saipem, Snam, Tenaris e Trevi.

"We arrived back in Italy very satisfied with the results of this trip", commented Fabio Liberali, a Member of the Board of LU-VE and representative of the company during the trade mission. "Added to the pride in participating for the first time in a State Visit abroad is the awareness of having set up the basis for new business opportunities in emerging countries situated in such a strategic area connecting Europe and Asia. This business trip represents a very positive start for LU-VE for future commercial operations in countries which are well disposed to Italy, such as Azerbaijan and Georgia".
